Dr. Gary D. Martin brings over 50 years of ministry experience to First Baptist Church of Waterford. A licensed and ordained Southern Baptist pastor, he faithfully served as Senior Pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Winton for 36 years before retiring in 2022. Pastor Gary holds advanced degrees in theology, including a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Discipleship from Luther Rice Seminary. His ministry has spanned pastoral leadership, music and youth education, seminary instruction, and international missions. Deeply devoted to teaching God’s Word, he now continues to serve the church through preaching, teaching, and interim ministry opportunities. He and his wife Nancy, have been married since 1973 and have two daughters.
